Install the app
Caution
The Marketplace listing is awaiting Atlassian’s approval. Until it is approved, the app cannot be installed, and the steps below describe the listing as it will be.
Oktul Regex Field for Jira is a free Forge app. It adds two custom field types to your site and runs entirely on Atlassian.
Requirements
- Jira Cloud or Jira Service Management Cloud
- Site or Atlassian app administrator permission
Install it
- Open the Marketplace listing
Both field types ship together in the one application.
- Select Get it now, then choose your site
Only a site or Atlassian app administrator can install. Anyone else sees Request app, which asks an administrator to approve.
- Review the permissions it requests
Six, each explained in the privacy notice. The two configuration scopes let it read a field’s rules and contexts; the only configuration it changes is its own UI modifications.
- Install
Forge applications take up to a minute to become available.
Confirm it worked
In Settings (gear icon), Work items, Fields, select Create new field. You should see Oktul Regex Field (Single line) and Oktul Regex Field (Paragraph). In Estonian they are (üherealine) and (lõik).
If it did not work
- The field types are not in the list. The installation has not finished. Wait a minute and reload; the app is listed under Apps, Manage your apps when it has.
- Portal customers cannot fill in the field. The field must be on the request type’s form, as any custom field must.
